PIXEL ART
What is Pixel Art?
Pixel art is a form of digital art with a unique visual style. In pixel art, individual pixels serve as the building blocks that make up the image. The effect is a visual style very similar to that of mosaic art, cross-stitch and other types of embroidery techniques.
The aesthetic for this kind of graphics comes from 8-bit and 16-bit computers and video game consoles, in addition to other limited systems such as graphing calculators.
Pixel art games made a comeback because, many agree, it's a matter of nostalgia. But not just. It is the simplicity, the minimalism, the lightness of the pixels that is alluring, as well as the way they remind us of our childhood.
